…join the movement

CANVAS is interested in getting people involved in the community of Montrose to make a difference. Here are some ways you can help.

Mentorship Program

We are working with Kids Hope USA to provide mentors to elementary school students at Wharton K-8 Dual Language Academy. If you are interested in finding out more about this program contact Allison Parrott.

Clean Water Initiative

At Canvas we understand our responsibility as a church to be both local and global. We are currently raising money to drill wells in third world countries where the people do not have access to one of their most basic needs, clean water. You can get involved by donating to the cause or participating in one of our water giveaways.

Service Projects

We participate in a service project once every 4-6 weeks that ties directly to the teaching from our worship services. This is an effort to practice what we preach.

Art/Music in Worship

God is an infinitely creative being. Canvas believes that creativity is an expression of worship to the Lord. We are always looking for musicians and artists to enrich the worship experience at Canvas. If you would like to paint, sculpt or add to the sonic landscape in worship please contact Jamie Minnamon.

Workshop Houston

This is a great program in the 3rd Ward (near University of Houston) that a few of our folks are involved with. Please check out their website for more information on the programs they offer for at-risk kids and how to get involved.

During Lent this year we have been looking at the wilderness passages in scripture. Teaching this series has been a real blessing to me, and I am looking forward to hearing what Caleb Cameron has to say this coming Sunday.
